Nearly Four Decades of Culture, Connection & Community

Founded in 1987 by a group of passionate Turkish immigrants and American friends, the Turkish American Cultural Association of Florida (TACAF) was built on a shared vision of connection, belonging, and cultural pride. What began as a small community of families gathered around dinner tables has grown into one of Florida's leading Turkish American cultural organizations. For nearly four decades, TACAF has brought together thousands of individuals and families across Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, and beyond — creating a welcoming space where friendships take root, traditions come alive, and cultural heritage is passed on to the next generation. A non-profit, non-partisan organization, we proudly share values and collaborate with the Assembly of Turkish American Associations (ATAA), contributing to a national network dedicated to promoting Turkish culture and fostering mutual understanding. From vibrant cultural festivals and educational workshops to language classes, youth initiatives, and professional networking, everything we do is designed to celebrate the richness of Turkish heritage while building meaningful, lasting relationships among Turkish, American, and international communities — in Florida and beyond.
